A ‘Kennel’ usually has a Committee, fondly named ‘The Mismanagement’ as usually no one knows what they are doing. MusH3 as a new Kennel, consists of 7 members for the time being. This may change at the next election, with more roles and responsibilities added as we become more established.
Role requirements-
- A passion for the Hash and keeping up with H3 Traditions, and to promote MusH3.
- Willing to freely give up a few hours to the role, now and again for twelve months, attend meetings, as well as supporting other Mismanagement roles when needed.
- MusH3 Mismanagement members are not members of another H3 Mismanagement, or have a role within another H3.
- Does not use the role as ‘status’ or for gain outside MusH3.
- Located in the vicinity of Muscat.
Saying that…everyone attending the MusH3 Meets has a responsibility in making them a welcoming and well run event.
2023- from the Inaugural Meet, all Mismanagement positions are first-come-first-served interest, and will remain in place until the first Election/AGM in September 2024, whereupon the roles are thrown open to old and new candidates.
Grand Master (GM) – ‘Stepford Reject‘
An experienced role, needing nerves of steel and a sense of commitment and passion for the Hash House Harriers and MusH3. The voice of authority in the Hash, the Head Honcho… Gives inspiration, direction and vision to all Hashers… maintains some degree of Hashy Harmony.
Responsibilities –
- Acts as an ambassador for MusH3;
- Encourages Morale
- Maintains Hash Traditions;
- Chairs the MM meetings;
- Point of Contact
- Promotes MusH3 to other Hashes;
- Opens and closes the circle;
- Conducts naming ceremonies;
- Welcomes new and ‘virgin’ Hashers
- Presenting Run Awards

Dishon. Sec./Comms/Admin – ‘Sausage Wallet‘
Hash Support. Picks up what the GM has forgotten…
- Maintains the administration of MusH3
- Point of contact
- Produces agendas and takes minutes from MM meetings and distributes.
- Rallies Social Events
- Publishes events and notices
- Maintains Social Media and Website and new contacts
- Liaise and communicate with international Hash Groups.
- Etc…
Hash Cash/Treasurer – ‘White Mamba‘
The holder of the purse strings. Collects and keeps records, and reports to GM occasionally, and presents reports at Mismanagement meetings
Responsibilites:
- Taking run record at the start of each meet
- Keeping records of notable anniversary runs…
- Maintaining other records
- etc.

Religious Advisor (RA) – ‘Premature Discharge‘
Deputy Religious Advisor – White Mamba, Drill Mistress
A true Hasher with a passion for keeping the faith. Provides entertainment in the circle in the form of banter, as well as giving out forfeits and ‘punishments’ for Hasher transgressions and laziness. A zealot in the circle…
Responsibilities –
- Keeps order in the circle
- Creates an interesting and entertaining atmosphere.
- Point of contact
- Administers punishments or recognition within the circle.
- Etc…
HareRaiser/Trailblazer – temporary filled.
The HareRaiser ensures there are Hare/s for each hash, and that the Meet information is known to the the DisHon. Sec/GM. well in advance for publicity purposes.
***The HareRaiser IS the Hare if (s)he can’t find anyone else to do it***
Responsibilities –
- Promote the benefits and kudos of being a Hare for the day
- Support first time/newbie Hares
- Engage with finding new locations
- Etc…
Dray – Jointly filled.
There is no provision or sale of alcohol at MusH3.
Responsibilities –
- Purchase, or arrange purchase and delivery of ice, softies, water, cups etc
- Present receipts for reimbursement to Hash Cash
- Pour down-downs at Circle when Trolley Dolly is not available.
- Etc…
