MusH3 Meets

MusH3 Meets will take place on every second Friday starting from the 1st of September 2023. Please check the Diary page for dates.

ALL MusH3 Meets require prior registration, in person, or via electronic means etc., and there may be a limit to attendees depending on the venue. Exact details will be provided on request.

Offers of hosting a Hash, Haring, Catering (or a combination of all!) are always welcomed. Get in touch for details of providing this valuable service.

Offers of Hosting, Hare-ing, or a combination of all three are welcomed!

All MusH3 meets and correspondence are undertaken in English.

Meets are BYOB, though some soft drinks and water are provided. There is no provision of alcohol at MusH3 Meets. Food may be provided occasionally at a nominal cost at some of the Meets but this will be advised beforehand.

There will be observance of Hash Traditions, such as the Circle, and recognition of Hash Anniversary dates where possible.

We aim to be family friendly, however please remember the Hash by nature can be somewhat on the ribald side. Dogs are also usually welcome, however please check in advance that the host does not mind dogs on their property.

Trails will be generally urban/beach/urban-wadi and from a place of residence. The distance for the runners is around 5/6km in the hotter months, slightly more in the cooler weather, and for the walkers around 3 or 4km. The aim is for around an hour or less, but you set your own pace. You participate at your own risk. Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in with appropriate footwear and take a mobile phone.

MusH3 is absolutely non-competitive and every level of fitness is welcomed. Walkers, runners, crawlers and inbetweeners all begin at the same point (the ‘On-Out’), follow the same trail (with an optional extension for the runners) and then all end up at the same point (the ‘On-In’)

The trail is set by the ‘Hare/s’ and marked out with flour dropped at regular intervals. We use flour as it is easy to see, environmentally friendly and quickly dispersed or eaten by insects. There are many international Hash trail markings but we try to keep things as simple as possible by using the least amount. However, it is not unknown for a particularly cruel Hare to throw in a few curve balls to keep everyone awake!
